Pomeranian Information

Pomeranian(Pom, Dwarf Spitz, Zwergspitz, Loulou) The Pomeranian is a compact toy dog with a short-backed build and an alert, intelligent expression. The breed is curious and buoyant, and every move they make is sound and coordinated. Their medium-boned body is slightly taller than it is long, and the length of their limbs is well in proportion to the rest of the frame. They have a short neck that is set well into the shoulders to permit a high head carriage. Their topline is level and their ribs are well-developed. The

Chihuahua

Other than being the oldest dog breed on the continent of North America, Chihuahuas were introduced by the Chinese. They are small-sized dogs, longer than taller and have an apple-shaped head. What I found interesting about this breed is their distinguishing characteristic-erect ears. They kind of look cute like a bunny. Chihuahuas come in many different colors and they are dogs which can turn out to be great companions. They are determined, courageous, intelligent and become very attached to their owner. Personally, if I would have to choose another dog to take home, it would be this one.   Want more information about Chihuahuas? click http://www.greatdogsite.com/breeds/details/Chihuahua/

Yorkshire Terrier

The Yorkshire belongs to the toy breed group. Their weight is about 7 lbs and their height 8 to 9 inches. Their colors are blue and tan. Yorkshire Terriers are born black, gradually attaining their blue and tan coloration as they mature. They much prefer to be held on their owner's lap all day but focus entirely on their owner and are extremely affectionate. It has been said that a Yorkshire Terrier requires more human companionship and attention than any other breed. This breed is also quick to learn. However, training must have consistency and firmness. They do not like to be ignored, so lots of praise will bring out the best in their training.

Boxers

One of the most popular dog breeds is the boxer. The boxer originated in Germany in the late 19th century. This breed's name was supposedly derived from the "boxing" motion they made with their front paws. Boxers are stocky and medium in size with strong jaws and a powerful bite. They are mostly used in search and rescue, police work, and military work. The Boxer enjoys regular play and outdoor exercise. They thrive on playing with their family and do best with a medium sized fenced yard.
